Finding Home in Montana

“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.” Crowfoot, Native American warrior and orator

Looking for light

12.16.12  This little snowman sits on top our coffee maker and when I turn him on, he changes colors while I wait through the coffee cycle.  I leave him on until there’s enough light out the window to feel like the day is finally underway.  On this sad Sunday morning, I cannot read the names or look at the photographs of the first graders in Connecticut.  In one story, it was reported that many of the Newtown residents have taken down their Christmas decorations. We watched National Lampoon’s “Christmas Vacation” last night to make ourselves laugh and have decided we will watch all of our Christmas DVD’s every night this week until we leave to go be with our California grandchildren, ages two, five and seven.
