Finding Home in Montana

“What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow which runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset.” Crowfoot, Native American warrior and orator

New Snow

DSC_001001.10.13  Rain fell through the night and I could hear it dripping off the roof when I went out on the terrace to say hello to the kitties in the dark pre-dawn.  By the time there was light in the sky, it had turned to snow.  According to the weather forecast map, we are in the winter advisory zone, sandwiched between the winter storm warning and avalanche zones.  The Arctic cold front arriving tomorrow covers us all, and yesterday’s high temperature of 43 degrees will become tomorrow’s low temperature of 8 degrees.  Hold on to your hats.
