December – n.

snowman

12.03.13  “december -n.  a month of lights, snow and feasts; time to make amends and tie loose ends; finish off what you started and hope your wishes come true.”  I don’t know where I stumbled across this definition of the month, but I’ve written it in one of my journals.  The arctic storm hit about 5:00 last night here at the lake.  The temperature plummeted minute by minute, the winds howled and snow swept across the roof in great sheets of white, wrapping the pines in white mist.  The wind chime sang and the little tree on the terrace, festooned in white fairy lights, wiggled to and fro in the great gusts off the lake.  Oh, it was a grand night!
