03.31.14 The lake was so quiet this morning on the final day of March. It had rained lightly in the night, filling the air with the new smell of spring, despite the 35 degree temperature. Hamm’s geese went floating by near the shoreline, exchanging honks with a pair passing overhead. New bird songs filled the dawn. The eastern half of the state is under a blizzard warning; the central section has freezing fog; and more snowpack is predicted for the mountains surrounding our valley. But, right here, right now, March, the “suicide month”, is closing down as soft and tender as a baby lamb.
Spring MUST be bringing sunnier skies???? Love the image of you with yoga pants and snow boots.
